Description
A couple of common murres appear demure as their much bigger neighbours indulge in some PDA. We'll give the lovebirds a pass: their reunion only happens once a year. Though northern gannet mating pairs split up each winter, migrating from the North Atlantic to the Caribbean or Mediterranean, they rekindle their long-distance relationships each spring at their home breeding grounds. Finding each other again and again among thousands of fellow gannets, these monogamous birds keep the spark going for life.
